Kuwait Women’s cricket team is all set to participate in the ACC U- 19 Women’s championship which is slated to commence at Singapore from October 4, 2010. The delighted women’s squad was thrilled and ecstatic at being the host and enjoyed their wonderful experience & hospitality of the Royal family.
Sheikha Naeema Al Sabah is currently the Chairperson of the GCC organizing committee for sports and Patron in Chief of Women’s Sports activities in Kuwait. A pleasing and delighted Sheikha Naeema extended all her support to Kuwait Cricket and said that she will be more than happy in assisting Kuwait Women’s cricket team in all their ventures and stated that she could invite foreign teams to play friendly cricket matches in Kuwait so that the Kuwait women’s team could acquire great exposure to this noble game.
Sheikha Naeema Al Sabah urged Kuwait Women’s cricket team to uplift the prestige of Kuwait and to hold Kuwait’s flag high and encouraged them to bring laurels to the country. She wished the team all the success and bright future. Sheikha Naeema congratulated Sheikh Dari Fahed Al Ahmed Al Sabah the president of Kuwait Cricket, Haider Farman, General Secretary and the entire supporting staff for their untiring support to Kuwait Cricket. She thanked International Cricket Council (ICC) & Asian Cricket Council (ACC) for their full fledged support to Kuwait and said that Kuwait is honored to host the forthcoming ICC World Cricket League Division 8 tournament which is to commence from November 6th to November 12th.
